The K-12 Solar Schools program supports the installation of 1 kW photovoltaic (PV) systems throughout Illinois at institutions serving grades K through 12.

The Illinois Clean Energy Community Foundation supports projects in several project categories, with incentives being determined on a case-by-case basis: Solar Thermal, Biomass, Advancing Renewable Energy, and Emerging Technologies.
Grants are available to install photovoltaic (PV) systems at existing nature/welcome centers owned by park districts, forest preserves, and other 501 (c)(3) non-profit organizations preserving natural areas in Illinois.
